Venelin Tsachevski is a Bulgarian professor, Ph.D. He is the author of many publications. His favourite topics are foreign policy, international relations and history.
He has worked as professor at the University of Helsinki. Between 2003 and 2006 the Bulgarian author was an Ambassador in Finland. In his point of view relations between Finland and our country have a long history. He tells us about priceless Finnish participation in the Russion-Turkish War 1877-1878. On the other hand Bulgaria is one of the first European countries which has approved the Finnish State as independent from Swedish Kingdom.
Nowadays political relations between Finland and Bulgaria are based on mutual and complicate historical proximity. Both of the countries shared democratic values in development and foreign policy understanding and expanding cooperation in all fields.
The book of Venelin Tsachevski tells us about Finnish-Bulgarian relations, the history of Finland and priceless Finnish participation in the Russion-Turkish War for Bulgarian freedom from 1877 to 1878. Both of the countries maintain mutually beneficial cooperation and relations of understanding, that have gained new dimensions after Bulgaria's accession to the European Union in 2007.
